Discovering My Shape for Ministry

When you became a Christian, God saved you not only to spend eternity with him, but to serve others while here on earth. Because this is so important to him, he has designed us with a specific shape for ministry. At Valley we believe that everyone is shaped for ministry and that our shape determines the best place for us to minister – a place where we will make a difference and find fulfillment. This CLASS helps you find your SHAPE.

When you were made a member of God’s family, he gave you a special gift for service. This gift is called our spiritual gift. God determined exactly how he wanted each of us to be beneficial in the body of Christ, his church. According to his plan for the church, he gave each of a gift. CLASS 301 will help you find that gift.

Not only has God given us a gift, but he has given us a desire for ministry. When we find that ministry that fulfills that heart desire, we will find a ministry where we will be effective and fulfilled.

As we consider which ministry God wants us involved in, we must give further consideration to our abilities. The average person has hundreds of abilities that can be used to serve him. CLASS 301 will help you enumerate the many abilities that you have which could be used in a ministry like Valley.

The Bible also teaches that we were uniquely formed. Each of has a personality that enables us to serve in areas where other may not fit. During our time together, we will discover the unique facets of our God given personality and how it will enable us to serve successfully.

Last, we have a life time filled with experiences. God never wastes a hurt and will use all of our experiences to minister to those around us. Be reviewing our experiences, we are able to focus on those ministry opportunities that need people with our experiences. All of this combined, will let you discover your SHAPE for ministry.
