The Triumphal Entry
As everyone awaits Jesus arrival to Jerusalem, learn about the different names of Jesus. Chooses one name that has meaning to you and add it to a Praise Palm so you can wave as Jesus arrives!
The Passover Meal
Meet a servant who has prepared and served the Passover meal for Jesus and his followers—and taste a few foods from the Passover meal and learn why these are so important.
Enter a dark jail cell, meet a guard, and hear from Barabbas—a prisoner who knows he doesn’t deserve to be set free. But will Jesus—or Barabbas—be released?
Meet a Roman soldier who wonders if he did the right thing by being a part of Jesus’ road to the cross. You'll receive a small cross made from nails and quietly reflect as you hear nails being hammered into a cross.
The Joyful Road
Meet an exuberant Cleopas, who was on the road to Emmaus when he met Jesus. Through Cleopas, discover Jesus has conquered death and is alive today!
After moving through all the Destinations, gather for snacks and conversation with other families.
Can I leave my kids at the experience and go to church? Easter Sunday is a Family Sunday. That means you get to experience everything at Valley Bible Church on Easter morning together as a family…this includes breakfast, our main services at 9:00 and 11:00 and the Road to Resurrection Family Experience. It’s family fun for everyone! This provides a great opportunity for you to bring guests and actually spend time with them and for new families to feel more comfortable because they don’t have to be separated throughout our ministries! Care for children 0-2yrs old is available in our VBCbabies Nursery as always.
Do I have to go around with my kids? We like to think you get to go around with your kids. This is a great opportunity to take the message of Easter home and have great talks about Jesus as a family after! A designated travel guide will lead your family through the experience with other families to ensure you all have a great time during your journey on the Road to Resurrection.
Can I go to the Main Worship Service and the Family Experience? Yes! Since the experience takes a little over an hour to complete, as a family, you can participate in the Experience and then go to the 11:00 Worship Service or vice versa. (Example: If you sign up for the 9:00AM Experience time, you should be done by 10:15. That gives you plenty of time to get seats for the 11:00AM Worship Service. You can even catch breakfast from 8:30-9:00! If you’d rather attend the 9:00AM Worship Service, come have breakfast at 8:30, attend the 9:00AM Worship Service, and sign up for the 10:45 Experience time)
What is Road to Resurrection and how long will it take? The Road to Resurrection Experience takes approximately 1 hour to complete. During the experience, you will journey to five different scenes (about 10 minutes each) that will transport you back to Bible times to have real-life adventures related to the Easter story.
How much does it cost? The Road to Resurrection family experience and breakfast are absolutely FREE! Be sure to invite your friends and family to this exciting time and make a memory you all will never forget!
