What is VBC Daily3 about?
The goal of these devotionals is to help you pray through times of pain and suffering. The videos will be released in a complimentary two-day package. First, a passage video will be released, then a prayer video will be released the following day.
How can you unpackage and pray through the passages?
On the day of the passage video:
- Read the passage 3 times.
- Answer 3 questions: (1) What does this passage say about God? (2) What does this passage say about us? (3) What am I going to do?
On the day of the prayer video:
- Pray for any 3 things you want to talk to God about.
A Note from the Leadership
Psalm 119:105 says, “Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.” When times are hard and life is difficult it is easy to lose our sense of direction. God’s Word always illuminates our path even when everything around us is dark. Philippians 4:6-7 says, “do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” Peace is a hard thing to have in stressful times.
God’s Word says that we can find peace through prayer. We, as a staff, believe we must lean into God’s Word and seek Him in prayer in order to get through this crisis. Let's do this together.
We will be following a simple strategy for reading our Bible and praying. This strategy can be used for all ages. We are calling it “VBC Daily 3.” We are asking you to READ THE PASSAGE 3 TIMES and ASK 3 QUESTIONS:
- What does this passage say about God?
- What does this passage say about us?
- What am I going to do?
In light of what God shows you and your family through His Word, we are asking you to then PRAY FOR 3 THINGS. We will be releasing daily videos with our pastoral staff. These videos will unpack the passages for you and guide you in a time of prayer. If you'd like to receive a text reminder for our new daily devotional, please text VBCdaily3 to 474747.
Please join us on this journey as we discover God’s Word and seek Him in our prayers.
On Behalf of the Leadership of Valley Bible Church,
