The mission for Children's Ministry is to give each child a biblical foundation through the teaching of God's Word so he/she may come to have saving faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. The vision for Children's Ministry is to make it the best hour of every kid's week. God has great concern for little children…"He took them up in his arms and blessed them" (Mark 10:16)... and so does Valley Bible Church! Because of our love for children, we are dedicated to providing a ministry of excellence for them. At Valley, we seek to build in our children a strong, biblical foundation in an exciting, relevant way. |
About Children's Ministry

We offer the Nursery for infants and toddlers and classes for three year olds through 5th grade for every service on Sunday. We provide child care for special church events. Children's Ministry also provides special events during the year, such as Summer Night Camp and Sports Camp. Awana is a wonderful Bible-memory program which we offer on Wednesday nights and runs during the school year for children in kindergarten through sixth grade. Child care for special events is also under the umbrella of Children's Ministry. |
The
Children's Ministry covers the ages from infants through fifth graders.
Sixth graders are allowed the option to sing in the Kids Choir.
This Ministry Offers

NURSERY (located in the Worship Center) is for infants through
35 months. We are open every Sunday during the morning and evening
worship services, as well as for special church events as announced.
The nursery is for ages 0 -18 months and 18 - 35 months. Children 0 -18 months are on the infant side and children 18 - 35 months are on the toddler side. We want your child to feel welcome and a part of our program through the people and activities that God has placed in the ministry area.
EARLY CHILDHOOD DEPARTMENT (located in the Family Life Center) classes for 3-year olds through kindergarten available on Sundays at 9 AM, 11 AM, and 6 PM.
ELEMENTARY DEPARTMENT (located in the Family Life Center
auditorium) for 1st through 5th graders. This is called KIDS CHURCH and
meets at 9 AM and 11 AM.
KIDS' CHOIR for 1st through 5th graders meets September through
June on the 1st and 3rd Sunday night of each month at 6 PM in the
Family Life Center Auditorium.
HEROES OF THE FAITH CLUB for 1st through 5th graders meet July and August in the Family Life Center on Sunday at 6 PM during the adult evening service.
AWANA CLUB meets in the Family Life Center from September
through May. This is a Bible Memory Program to reach children in
Kindergarten through 5th grade with the gospel of Jesus Christ and
train them to serve Him. The acronym AWANA comes from the first letters
of Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed (II Timothy 2:15.) Awana Club meets
on Wednesdays from 6:45 PM to 8:30 PM.

Special Events

Summer Night Camp - June 23-26, 2008. Summer Night Camp (the equivalent of Vacation Bible School) is
for children who are going into 1st grade through 5th grade. SNC is a
week-long event held in July from 6:30 PM - 9:15 PM in the Family Life
Center. Children must pre-register in order to attend SNC. THIS EVENT

Sports Camp - July 28-August 1, 2008. Sports Camp is open to 1st - 6th grade boys and girls
ages 6 - 12 years. Camp is a week-long event held in August from 9am -
Noon in the Family Life Center. Kids have a choice of participating in
one of the following: basketball, cheerleading or soccer. Basketball
registration is limited to 8 years and older. Campers must
pre-register. Cost: $80.00 per camper. Contact person: Andrea Hazel

Freak Out Friday is a fun night for 4th & 5th graders which is scheduled quarterly under the direction of Pastor "Big Dave" Hurtado, Pastor of Student Ministries. |
