At Valley, you will experience friendly people, a unique mix of worship music that will appeal to any style preference with an emphasis on worshipping the Lord together, and expository preaching in an engaging atmosphere. We want you to feel welcomed and loved!
WHEN YOU ARRIVE
If this is your first-time at Valley, please notify one of the attendants in the parking lot as you drive in so that our team may direct you to the Guest Parking spots. If you will be bringing kids (1st–5th grade) to Kids Church, check in before service in the Worship Center Lobby. Kids will be dismissed (via a slide shown) from the main worship service before the last song to find their teachers outside of the main Worship Center entrance. If your kids are 3 years old thru Kindergarten, they can be checked into their classrooms upstairs in the Family Life Center. Our Nursery and Mother's Room are located in the Worship Center for infants through 2-year-olds! Find out more about meeting during Covid
Be sure to visit the Welcome Center in the Worship Center to fill out a Welcome Card and receive a free gift! If you need assistance, feel free to ask one of our ushers or greeters and they will be happy to help you!
Our two morning 90-minute services are identical, and our worship is lead by a worship director and either a worship team or choir. It is a mix of contemporary and gospel music, and traditional hymns, with our focus being on exalting the Lord together. During each service, you have an opportunity come up to the front for prayer with one of our prayer counselors. It is a wonderful time of waiting on the Lord and casting burdens on Him (because He cares for you!) Every week, an offering is received. If this is your first-time at Valley, don't feel pressured to give an offering! You are our guest! On the 4th Sunday of each month, we celebrate the Lord's Supper, for those who would like to participate.
Our preaching team includes: Tim Vahlstrom, Lay Pastor and Chairman of Elders; Larry Howard, Executive Pastor; Todd Bolton, Associate Pastor; and Manny deSouza, Youth Director. They typically lead us through an expository study of a book or section of the Bible from the English Standard Version or the New American Standard Bible, and are able to explain and apply God's Word to our lives in a meaningful way. Occasionally, we also have guest speakers to teach or share about their ministry.
English Standard Version Bibles are provided in the pew racks and sermon notes are handed out along with bulletins as you enter the main auditorium.
HOW TO DRESS
There's no need to worry about what to wear! We have a wide range of people who wear anything from a t-shirt and jeans to full suits to traditional cultural attire. Just wear whatever you feel comfortable in. God cares more about the heart than the outward appearance (1 Samuel 16:7).
